What is the difference between an accountant and a bookkeeper?

A bookkeeper supports your organization by tracking and recording daily transactions.  An accountant inspects the financial details of your business and analyzes the transactions and financial reports to influence better business decisions and may also be involved project planning, cost analysis, auditing, budgeting, financial forecasting, decision-making and advising.
